SILVERWAKE is an offline action game for Android, for one player or two players on phones sharing a Wi-Fi network. This policy explains what the game does with your data. The short version: the game itself collects nothing and needs no account. It can show an optional advert through Google AdMob, it sells optional purchases through Google Play (the "Full Game" unlock, cosmetic packs and a "coffee" tip to the developer) and, on Google Play, it can pass your achievements and best scores to Google Play Games. Those Google services process some data as described below.
None. The game's own code does not collect, store on a server or transmit any personal information, location, contacts or usage statistics, and we run no server. The game has no account or sign-in of its own, no chat, and no analytics or crash-reporting service of its own. The Google services below are separate.
If you choose "Play together", your phone talks directly to your friend's phone on your local Wi-Fi network (or one phone's hotspot). To find and play with each other, the two phones exchange game data: your controls, the game world, a generated player name such as "Vanguard 4821", a random player number the game made on your phone, and your in-game skills and progress in that run. Nothing is sent over the internet, to us or to anyone else, and nothing is stored on a server. There is no chat and no typed text between players. The host's phone keeps your ship in its saved run so you can rejoin; uninstalling the game or clearing its data removes it.
Your progress (runs, unlocks, skills, settings and which purchases you own) is saved only in the app's private storage on your device. We cannot see it, and it is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data in Android settings. It is not included in Android cloud backup, and the game uses no cloud save. The only part that leaves your device is what Google Play Games receives, described below, when you use it.
Players who have not bought the Full Game can choose to watch one short advert after a run for bonus XP. Adverts never play on their own, never during play and never in your first session. Buying the Full Game removes adverts. The game requests non-personalised adverts only.
To serve, limit and measure adverts, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and an approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and advert interaction data (views and taps). This data is sent to Google and processed under Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland) the game asks for your consent before any advert loads, and you can change that choice later from the game's Settings. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
Everything the game sells is optional: the Full Game unlock, cosmetic packs and a Supporter pack (one-time purchases; the packs change only how your Vanguard looks), and "Buy the developer a coffee", a thank-you you can buy as often as you like that changes nothing in the game. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play under Google Payments' privacy notice. The game never sees your payment details. It receives only a purchase confirmation from Google Play, checks Google's signature on that confirmation on your device, and remembers on the device what you own and how many coffees you have bought. "Restore purchases" asks Google Play which purchases belong to your Google account. The game sends nothing about your purchases to us.
The version on Google Play can show your achievements and scores on Google Play Games. This is optional: the game plays the same without it, signed out or offline, and nobody is asked to create a Play Games profile to play. If you have a Play Games profile, Google Play Games may sign you in on its own when the game opens; you manage this in the Google Play Games app.
When you are signed in, the game sends Google Play Games the achievements you have earned, your progress towards them and your best scores on its leaderboards. Google shares your gamer identity (gamertag and avatar) with the game for that session; the game does not store it or send it to us, and it never receives your email address, or your friends list. Who can see your game activity depends on the profile visibility you choose in Play Games (only you, friends or everyone), and your leaderboard scores can be seen according to that choice.
Google's Play Games SDK also collects analytics and diagnostics data to keep its service stable and improve it. This data is encrypted in transit and processed by Google under Google's privacy policy. You can delete your game data or your Play Games profile from the Google Play Games app or your Google Account. We receive none of this data individually; Play Console shows us only totals, such as how many players unlocked an achievement.
When you open or return to the game, it asks Google Play's in-app update service on your phone whether a newer version is available, and may ask you to update. Google Play answers that question under its own privacy policy; the game sends nothing to us.
The game uses internet access only for adverts, Google Play purchases, updates and Play Games and, when you play together, the local Wi-Fi connection to your friend's phone (with the Wi-Fi state permissions it needs to find their game); network state, which Google's advert and purchase services use to check for a connection; and vibration for optional haptic feedback. It does not access your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or precise location.
The game is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Adverts are requested with a family-friendly content rating.
If a future version changes any of the above, this page is updated before that version is released, with a new "last updated" date.
